BasketBall Rules

BasketBall RulesBasketball rules popped up the day the game was first played in 1891. The global basketball rules are ruled by the technical commission of the World Basketball Federation. Most leagues, including the NBA (National Basketball organization) rule with their own rules. The first objective of basketball is to score more points by putting the ball in opposition's basket, which is placed 10 feet above the ground. the team that scores the most points wins, on completion of the game. Recreational and high school games last thirty-two mins, varsity and world games last 40 mins, ladies's pro games last 40 mins, and men's pro games last 48 mins. Referees on court are administers of the basketball rules. A basketball team is composed of five players. A game starts with a 'jump ball' at the centre of the court, in which the referee tosses the ball high into the air and 2 players of each team line up in the middle of the court and try and direct the ball to one of their colleagues. As per basketball rules, the team that has got the ball plays offense and the opposition plays defense, defending their basket.
The offensive team has a set time, often thirty-five seconds to score by putting the ball thru the opposition's basket.
The player possessing the ball can't run or walk with the ball without dribbling (bouncing the ball against the ground). The ball must be passed or shot, once the player stops dribbling or it's got to be touched by another player before the first player can regain the ball. According to basketball rules, there are 2 techniques of scoring points; the 1st is to make a basket, which is worth two or three points, depending on the distance of the shot. The second way is to score a nasty shot or free throw, which is awarded to a player when the opposition commits an individual foul or a technical foul. Possession of the ball swaps when the offense scores or when the defense is successful in gaining the ball.
The ball is free and all players have equivalent chance to retrieve the ball, when the offense team misses a shot, which is known as making a rebound.
