Cricket World CupThe Cricket World Cup is the most significant cup in the ODI.

The 1st one was arranged in Britain in 1975; The Lady's World Cup was held in 1973 and is still held each four years.
The Finals of this cup are played along with all 10 tests and ODI competitors together with other states which qualify for the Cup. Out of all of the groups Australia has been the most successful, winning four titles. First world cup was played in 1975, West Indies won this one. The second one was no different with the team West Indies winning it in 1979. After the 1st 2 occasions, Asians took the lead. 1983 cup belongs to India. Australia won their maiden cup in 1987. Pakistan was Extraordinary under the captaincy of Imran Khan, one of the finest cricket captains the world has ever seen, and won the 1992 cup. In 1996, the cup still stayed in the East, and Srilanka appeared as winners. Australia has been controlling the cricket world for the last ten years, and has bagged the cup in 1999, 2003 and 2007.

Cricket HistoryThe cricket is a sport of unknown origin that's played in an outside stadium between 2 groups of eleven players each, employing a bat and ball that's a touch smaller compared to the ball of the baseball game. The guidelines that rule this game were written in London, Great Britain, by the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) in 1788. From then onwards, the guidelines have been object of successive updates. Cricket is played in yearly Global Series, though there are games between universities and colleges groups, including the normal games held in Cambridge and Oxford each year. It is assumed that Cricket is a name coming from the English word Crick, which meaning is "stick" or "stick pastor". This reference may be associated to the 1st bats that were used to play in the 18th century. The 1st cricket match ever recorded, as we all know the game today was held in Melbourne, Australia, in a test match between Britain and Australia during 1877.

Cricket RulesThis text will introduce to you the facts and rules of cricket to help understand it better. The game of cricket is played between 2 groups and each team has eleven players. The team may employ a substitute if a player is wounded and if he recovers he may come back on to the pitch. Cricket has 2 referees that enforce the guidelines, make and judge calls. There are also 2 scorers that keep the score for both groups. In cricket the ball is 22.4 to 22.9cm in diameter and weights between 155 to 163 grams. The cricket bat is 96.5 long and 10.8 wide. The cricket wicket / pitch is twenty-two yards long and 10ft wide.
The wickets themselves are made from three stumps, which are twenty-eight inches tall and nine inches wide with 3 bails on top. The bowling crease is 8.8ft long and as wide as the wicket, it is centered on the stumps. The condition of the pitch should be very good or good and ideally should give an even bounce.
